auDA
podcasts
auDA,
the quiet achiever in ccTLD
administration, has launched its Let's Talk Net site.
The site is a collection of podcasts
for consumers and business users of the net.
It is another step forward by the dot-au manager, which operates
without federal government funding and plays a key role in
Australian electronic commerce, culture and consumer protection.
auDA has been progressively informing Australian domain name
industry practitioners and the broader community about the
nature of domain names and the shape of regulation in the
dot-au space. On behalf of consumers it has also undertaken
class action litigation, under the federal Trade Practices
Act 1974 (TPA),
over domain name scams.
The new Let's Talk Net site is aimed at novices and
experienced users -
If you're new to the Internet then this series explains
everything you will need to know when launching into cyberspace.
If you are not quite so new to the Internet, then the series
will show you how to get much more out of this amazing resource.
All of this in bite sized and fun audio segments.
Hats
off to the comment that
Learning how to use the Internet can be as boring as watching
paint dry. ... auDA has produced a series that walks you
through the technology while having a few laughs along the
way.
The
consumer section features interviews with Josh
Rowe, who's been instrumental in crimping a range of outrageous
scams, and grand old man Vint Cerf.
The site also offers information about business use of the
net, including interviews with figures such as lawyer Craig
Ng
If
you are taking your business online, want to utilise the
Internet fully, or just want to listen to great interviews
and business tips, then this is the series for you. We cover
the elements that contribute to your business having a successful
web presence.
